AGARTALA, Aug 22 (TIWN): In a shocking incident the ongoing corruptions in the Gomati District hospital has once again exposed after a senior citizen patient was stretched from the bed in Medical ward by holding patient’s shirt’s collar and kept in a pathology shop without food and medicine for whole day asking due thousand rupees. The culprit pathologist has been identified as Jutan Saha, private pathologist in the Gomati District hospital area. Shocking matter is that the victim patient Swapan Nama didn’t want to do any blood test in private chamber, but Jutan Saha almost against patient’s will took blood for test and then gave him a bill of thousand rupees. In this mafia-style same incidents he conducted earlier also, but this time was exposed after the patient party informed media about it. Patient Swapan Nama was kept in that shop for whole day (morning to evening) and was going missing for long, later his daughter’s in-law’s family members gave Jutan Saha thousand rupees and then only the patient was released.
When media interacted, hospital staffs said, “We called the patient’s name for injection 7 to 8 times, but didn’t get any response. Then we thought, he might has gone somewhere but didn’t understood the seriousness of the incident”. However, negligence of the staffs can not be ignored as the patient was missing for around 12 hours. This hospital has turned a complaint zone as time to time wrong treatment and even deaths due to wrong treatment were reported here. Doctors’ chose to stay out of the hospital maximum, specially the senior doctors who are involved in private chambers.
