TIWN May 2, 2019
AGARTALA, May 2 (TIWN): Under Chief Minister Biplab Deb when people are being arrested, harassed due to sharing news, facebook post with another expose in administrative corruption, Tripura’s leading media Tripurainfoway.com (TIWN) which was already illegally blocked by Home Ministry after Biplab Deb’s request, now has blocked in court order.
But surprising matter is that TIWN Editor Saumen Sarkar only came to know about the blocking after a source from the West District Magistrate Court informed him and passed the documents.
Till now, Tripura police could not prove whether Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s divorce case news is fake or right. Indeed it’s 100% correct news and all national media has said the same.
More if it could be proven as fake, then also according to law there is no provision to stop publication of a news media.
The case against TIWN was allegedly filed by a local smuggler Sunit Sarkar, also an active RSS supporter who spreads communal hatred in his facebook, who filed FIR against TIWN Editor on FAKE charges based on news items published in TIWN, West Tripura Police OC Subrata accepted FIR, no investigation, then after 24 hrs on next day ( May1,2019), OC West submitted FIR to Lower Court, Judicial Magistrate Smt J.M Das rather than issuing notice to accused parties for hearing, verifying truth or false but straightly delivered ex-party order of blocking TIWN portal which shocked public across the State.
This mockery of Justice which looked like Biplab Deb created pressure upon Judge for hurried Court order which violated all Judicial norms of giving accused party the chance to contest the charges.
TIWN Editor has condemned this mockery of Justice without hearing from accused Party.
