AGARTALA, Feb 1 (TIWN): A section of anti-nationalists under BJP have threatened Tripura Royal scion Pradyot Manikya after he voiced against Citizenship Amendment Bill.

In a statement Pradyot Manikya said that people over social media and in phone calls and letters have threatened to kill him, warned to abuse my sister and mother (Rajmata) because he had spoken against Citizenship Amendment Bill .

“I have been insulted and humiliated because these people don’t want Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma to speak for his “Dopha” but inaugurate seminars and speak on soft issues. Today I appeal to all my Tiprasas and Tiprajwk please also stand up beside me and support me. I can take personal abuse but when it gets so personal where people say such things, I feel outnumbered by the onslaught. I want my people to be with me”, he said.

A section of media have published/ broadcasted news to stage Pradyot Manikya in wrong way, whereas Citizenship Amendment Bill was protested countrywide
