AGARTALA, Dec 9 (TIWN): Tripura’s unemployment problems have been spiked up in last 8 months, with BJP Govt’s first ever JUMLA-strike on the ongoing recruitments affected thousands of job aspirants including TPSC candidates. Instead of fulfilling 50,000 job promises in one year, the BJP Govt has focused on to terminate employees from JICA to Forest Dept employees, who even after multiple attempts were not re-recruited after termination. It also affected poor, old mid-meal workers and contractual staffs. Various times news came how people are living after losing their jobs and one Health Dept employee Nirmal Debbarma is one of the victims, now became wood cutter after losing jobs. In case of new job recruitments also the Govt only saved Law dept’s ongoing jobs which led another recruitment scam of BJP Govt by illegally recruiting BJP supporting lawyers. A case was filed in High Court after 8 lawyers were illegally recruited by Law Dept. When BJP Govt has promised in Vision document, “There are about 50,000 vacancies in the state government. We will fill up all these vacancies within a year through a transparent process”, there is no attempt to give the advertisement. Hence more 3 months left for BJP Govt to end the recruitment procedure.

Instead of recruiting, BJP Govt has cancelled all existing recruitments. Most surprisingly Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) which is autonomous body, has cancelled many recruitments, which were going since two years.

Recently, Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) even though autonomous body has cancelled at least 11 existing recruitments has fueled massive resentment effecting thousands of jobs aspirants.

In many of the recruitments, already many were selected but under BJP Govt pressure TPSC was bound to cancel of them.

The cancelled 11 recruitments of TPSC are : 1) Assistant Professor in Law, Tripura Govt. Law College under Education (Higher) Department, Govt. of Tripura, 2) Statistical Inspector, under Labour Department, Govt. of Tripura, 3) Inspector of Factories in the Factories & Boilers Organization under Labour Department, Govt. of Tripura, 4) Scientific Officer under PWD (DWS), Govt. of Tripura, 5) Inspector of Boilers in the Factories & Boilers Organization under Labour Department, Govt. of Tripura, 6) Principal, Technical (Engineering) Degree College (i.e. TIT) Tripura under Education (Higher) Department, Govt. of Tripura,7) Curator, Tripura State Museum under the Education (Higher) Department, Govt. of Tripura, 8) Principal, College of Teacher Education (CTE) under the Education (Higher) Department, Govt. of Tripura, 9) Lecturer, Diploma Level Technical Institutions in Tripura Under Education (Higher) Department, Govt. of Tripura, 10) Sub-Inspector of Excise under Excise organization, Finance Department, Govt. of Tripura, 11) Agriculture Officer TAFS under the Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Tripura.

But C Minister Biplab Deb has additional suggestion for unemployed youths whom he asked for cow-rearing, paan-shop opening generated time to time resentments.
