AGARTALA, Aug 11 (TIWN): Biplab Deb’s utter disregard of Indian Democracy’s civil administration setup by appointing some outsider friends & known people as his OSD, Chief Advisors are direct violation of Governance. when Country once again needs IAS Officers and all Civil Service Officers to play their independent It’s high time roles above Politicians and take charges of building the Nation, especially when state like Tripura after suffering from deprivations for decades, finally handed over to bunches of inexperienced, high-egoistic, immature politicians after Assembly Election 2018. With a shocking note a confidential notification of June 12, 2018 has been leaked recently, sparked controversy. The notification was regarding ‘Standing Committee of Secretaries’, where Chief Secretary Sanjeev Ranjan was posted as Co-Chairman of the Committee, whereas OSD / Advisory of CM has awarded with the position of Chairman. A source said that the advisor is no one but Biplab’s personal guide Vijay K. Chibber, 1 out of the 4 OSDs of Tripura CM. Questions are being raised how can CM’s advisor play role above than Chief Secretary ???

The issues are in discussion in the state since few IAS officers took break from BJP Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s Govt and an honest IAS Officer like Y. Kumar had to go for voluntary retirement giving to jolt to the Secretariat.

It was Chief Minister Biplab Deb in his first ever address on Civil Service Day on April 27 claimed himself as "mother" of “Civil Service Officers and so if mother scolds, they should not feel much bad”. CM further suggested, “Mechanical Engineers should not go for Civil Services, but Civil Engineers should go for it”.

Under Biplab Deb’s Govt on March 13, 2018 BDO Prabir Debbarma at Gandacherra was suspended before hundreds of people and the existing officer at there was harassed before media and mobile users, left him extreme insults. The video soon had gone viral.  CM louded in Hindi while suspending the Officer, “Investigation Baad mai karenge, first suspend karo....” (First suspend him, investigation will be done later).

In Civil Secretariat, nothing is going well and Chief Minister right hand corrupt OSD Dilip Ray who accompanies CM in each programme, on Friday was seen sitting like a clown among BJP supporters at Udaipur English Medium.

On August 6, Tripura CM Biplab Deb took his Party Secretary Pratima Bhowmik to felicitate State’s football players, which was historical in wrong way, held never in Tripura before. 

When it comes about Law & Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath, state has seen how one lady Headmistress was made to cry before dozens of media persons due to Nath’s angry-drama.

In last one decade, IAS jobs’ glamour was faded with the arrival of various so called creative works in India, but once again these officers' crucial roles have been recalled when states are facing lawless situations and these are the IAS officers who are responsible for implementation of laws in a state and in the country.

When a scam is held like 10323 teachers' recruitment and Ministers, Ex-Ministers are not blamed in the Courts, rather it’s the concerned officer who has to take the whole liability then why not all the Officers should play the role above the temporary Powerful Politicians ?
