AGARTALA, June 18 (TIWN): Union BJP Govt is working towards National Education Policy but Biplab Deb led Tripura BJP Govt working towards opposite direction by spending Government funds on legal costs on lost case of 10323 Illegal recruitment which nullified by both High Court and Supreme Court. BJP state Govt will knock the Supreme Court demanding the extension of terminated 10323 teachers jobs till 2020, June 30th, in a press conference Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath told media on May 31. Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar said on Monday that the much awaited National Education Policy's "zero draft" is ready and will be implemented by the end of 2018. Union Policy which strictly directs all States to follow TET and other qualifying exams for Teachers recruitment is contrary to Biplab Deb,Ratan Lal Nath’s plan to support illegal CPI-M era recruitments.10323 teachers had lost job on March 29, 2017 in a verdict of SC after spotting irregularities in their job appointments. SC said, December 31st, 2018 will be the last date of job career for those posts. However later on ad hoc basis the job tenure was increased for more 6 months but it will also be ended on June 30th, 2018.

Union Minister said "The draft of the policy is ready. We are giving it the final shape," who was briefing the media over the achievements of his ministry in the last four years.

"Bilkul (definitely)," was his reply when a reporter asked him whether the policy will be in place by the end of 2018.

Addressing the media on May 31, 2018, Tripura Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said, “As you know on 30th June 2018, Supreme Court led terminated 10323 teachers' jobs tenure will be ended on ad hoc basis, thus the State Govt in today's cabinet meeting has decided to appeal the Supreme Court to give more relaxation for the teachers so that they can continue their jobs at least till 2020”.

Also Ratan Lal Nath announced that an Assembly Session to begin from June 19 and a committee will be formed in this regard. Even though Ratan Lal Nath didn't mention anything but basically 'teachers crisis' issue will be told the Supreme Court by state govt behind the 'extension demand'. Recently both CPI-M and Congress came with sharp attacks against the BJP Govt issuing 10323 teachers futures.

Union Minister said that 33 new initiatives have been taken in the last four years to strengthen the educational system."Revolutionary changes have been made by the Ministry as it is committed to providing affordable and quality education for all," he said.He also refuted the allegations that the government was working to curtail the autonomy of IIMs and other institutes of eminence.

"Rather, we want to strengthen them as we are committed to giving them autonomy. There is no danger to their autonomy. The question is to change the laws," he said.

Saying that the Midday Meal Scheme was being further strengthened by granting more funds, he claimed that the budget for education was increased from Rs 67,000 crore to Rs 1,10,000 crore in four years.

The 10323 teachers who were terminated with Supreme Court’s final verdict are going to lose their jobs after 30th June 2018 as after 31st December their jobs were increased on ad-hoc basis for more 6 months but that tenure also is going to end on June 30th. 10,323 teachers' jobs were first cancelled by Tripura High Court in 2014 on May 7 after spotting irregularities in the recruitment process, before the issue was taken to Supreme Court by the the CPI-M Govt.

A division bench of the high court, comprising Chief Justice Deepak Gupta and Justice Swapan Chandra Das, had passed then order May 7, 2014 terminating the jobs of 10,323 school teachers after Dec 31, citing irregularities in recruitment and SC has upheld High Court's 2014 verdict.

However, High Court advised the Tripura Govt to save 10323 teachers jobs, by appointing the deprived youths who filed cases against the irregularities in recruitment of 10323 teachers by the then Tripura Govt, but on that time Tripura Govt didn't appoint the deprived 59 youths and challenged the High Court verdict in the Supreme Court.

On March 29, 2017, the Supreme Court also held High Court's order and terminated the teachers. Supreme Court in a humanaitarian gesture to 10323 teachers mentioned that the teachers will continue their jobs till 2017, 31st Dec.

Later with the request of Tripura Govt, the Supreme Court added 6 months of ad hoc basis jobs for the teachers which will be end on June 11, 2018. Supreme Court issued 6th month's contract jobs for the teachers as Tripura Govt told Supreme Court, if teachers are terminated schools will be suffering from teachers crisis in the mid-session.

Now, BJP led Tripura Govt will reappeal the Supreme Court to extend their jobs for more 2 years i.e. 2020  June 30th

In brief what is BJP Govt's benefit in helping CPI-M era illegal recruitments and disrespecting the spirit of High Court and Surpre Court Judgements - is Votebank Politics for 2019 Lok Sabha Election so important ???
