AGARTALA, May 20 (TIWN): Questions are raising, why without enough rains flood had hit the Agartala City.

West Tripura DM Sandeep Mahatmen, who is visiting the relief camps after total 16 camps were opened for the flood affected families, said that in major places flood water level was decreased, but the river bank areas conditions are pathetic due to Howrah river’s high water level.

At Jirania and AMC wards areas, the waterlogging have been decreased, but the Howarh river’s water level is too high.

Mahatme said, Howrah river’s water level should be 10 meter, but it’s above the danger level right now. The river water level is 3 point above than the danger level. Right now the Howrah river level is 10.3 meter.
