AGARTALA, March 4 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has resigned from his Chief Ministry today completing 20 years of his ruling over Tripura.
Governor Tathagata Roy accepted the resignation letter of the Chief Minister as Tripura will get a new Chief Minister from the ruling BJP.
At 12 PM CM Manik Sarkar reached the Raj Bhawan and submitted his resignation to the Governor.
In 2015 Tathagata Roy was appointed as the Governor of Tripura and since then there has been very wonderful relation among both the Chief Minister and the Governor, except some last few months odds, which was mentioned by Tathagata Roy in his Independence Day's speech.
Today, all officials who worked under Manik Sarkar remained sad, silent while Sarkar was resigning from his Chief Ministry.
