AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, March 3 (TIWN): Manik Sarkar led CPI-M’s massive loss is not only due toTripura CPI-M’s misdeeds but it’s a verdict against Anti-National Political forces by Indian citizens. CPI-M’s 25 years misrule and organized corruption reached to its pinnacle of mass sufferings, deaths as over 8 lakhs unemployed youths and millions of hapless sufferers. BJP’s comfortable win with 40+ seats rattled high-egoed Tripura’s now soon to be ex-CM Manik Sarkar and his garbage communist policies. Prime Minister Modi in a Tweet congratulated people of Tripura for heralding a new era of development based Politics. Tripura BJP President Biplab Deb is top contender of CM’s post and won Banamalipur Assembly seat with a comfortable margin of 9549 votes.
Prime Minister Modi tweeted “I thank the people of these states for supporting the good governance agenda and ‘Act East Policy’ of @BJP4India & our valued allies. We remain committed to working towards fulfilling the dreams & aspirations of the people”.
BJP National President Amit Shah in a Tweet said “I thank brothers and sisters of Tripura for their massive support to the BJP. This is the victory for Modi’s politics of development and his commitment to the welfare of northeastern region of India,”.
However, rather than BJP’s local leadership, it was due to high anti-incumbency wave against Manik Sarkar’s corrupt rule and mass deprivation of 25 years - which forced Tripura population to cast their votes for BJP.
