AGARTALA, July 18 (TIWN): Tripura Police has lodged suo moto cases against three top CPI-M leaders for protesting amid COVID-19 fresh restrictions imposed by Govt of Tripura.
The leaders are - Pabitra Kar, Sankar Prasad Dutta and Manik Dey. Against them, in West Agartala PS, cases were lodged.
However, the same Police did not take any action against BJP Minister Ratanlal Nath, MLAs and many leaders including BJP National Secretary Ram Madhav, even Chief Minister for making social gathering in the recently repeatedly. IPFT leaders, activists also have done the same.
In case of anti-Protests, such actions are generally taken and a similar step was taken against 10323 teachers also.
Yesterday, CPI-M held protest against Modi Govt's privatizing rule for Railways. After that police took the action.
