Demolition Drive continues on Day 2 : GB | AGARTALA, May 8 (TIWN): Amid cries of the Political parties, West Dist administration has been continuing the demolition drive on the day 2. On Tuesday morning the demolition drive covered the GB area and at least 3 party offices within 7.30 am were bulldozed. On yesterday the demolition drive at the Motor stand area had hit the political parties led demonstrations, press conferences and gherao of the DM office. But there was no lack of enthusiasm among the govt officials in the demolition drive even today. At least 10 to 12 party offices of the trade unions were demolished today after the offices were served with notices before 7 days. Today the demolition drive under West DM Millind Ramteke has begun, whereas in next few days the actions to be continued till the last number of the illegally built party offices' list. But following the party offices demolition built over govt lands, CPI-M has claimed that in such union offices the passengers used to spent times and used them their resting place. Some small shops were also demolished in the drive led by West DM Millind Ramteke. It was warned by West DM before 7 days to remove the party offices which have been constructed on Govt lands and accordingly the administration has taken action on Monday.
