AGARTALA, May 6 (TIWN): Tripura Govt has invited Bangladeshi investors to invest for state Tripura.
Regarding the promotion of investment from Bangladesh to Tripura the state govt has also appealed the centre.
At present there has been no any significant investment from Bangladesh investors into Tripura or other parts of North East.
Chief Minister, Biplab Deb has requested to MEA to persuade the matter with Bangladesh Government so as to promote investors from Bangladesh to invest in Tripura and other parts of the North Eastern States which will improve bilateral trade between the two countries benefitting the North Eastern Region.
Earlier, Bangladesh businessmen wanted to open garment village in Tripura, which was not approved by the previous govt to preserve state's handloom based market.
