AGARTALA, Dec 4 (TIWN): Even though 9 persons have already arrested in Bankers kidnapping case, but DGP A K Sukla has signaled that more may be arrested in coming days. “Investigation is not completed and we are still in the processâ€, said Sukla. However, media asked. 'Is it true that there were around 16 people who kidnapped them?' In reply DGP A K Sukla said, "Till now 9 have been arrested. We have continued our search(investigation)". "We had also been continued our search operation via helicopter during the rescue hours. Total 9 persons have been arrested as you know already", said DGP. The Police Chief also said that only 4 out of the 9 are ex-members of ATTF. On the other side, The 9 accused persons in bankers kidnapping case has sent for 6 days police remand, in a hearing by Gomati Dist judge.
The 9 arrested persons are : 1) Rakesh Debbarma 2) Sachindra Debbarma 3) Jyan Debbarma 4) ) Sanjit Debbarma, 5) Karna Debbarma 5) Surendra Debbarma, 6) Abhiram Debbarma 7) Kanoon Mohan Malsum 8) Laxmi Charan Debbarma 9) Ranjit Debbarma. But, DGP said that investigation is not completed and more may be arrested.
DGP A K Sukla briefing police's action to nab the culprits said, "On 24th Nov bankers were kidnapped at Telimaura and police for a week remained busy in the rescue operation. Vehicles were left far from the kidnapping place and the kidnappers were moving from here to there. So various times even though police were closed to them, couldn't nab them".
"There were many hurdles to identify the locations of the kidnappers as the bike was left at Teliamura-Chakmaghat area whereas car was found at Ambassa. Police have lodged criminal case on the 1st day of kidnapping", added DGP.
Tripura Police have claimed about a successful rescue operation took place in past 7 days and DGP claimed that ' Police have proven it's capability once more
