AGARTALA, Dec 3 (TIWN): Along with 9 persons, total 50 lakhs were recovered which was kept hidden inside soil near Sidhai PS area. Even though 9 persons have been arrested in Taidu Bankers kidnapping case, but controversy will not end unless and until Tripura Police gives details about the 1 week long interrogation process done by them. Nothing is clear about police’s motive behind hiding the truth. People lost faith on police since Santanu murder case to other cases. A section of people are saying that to hide police's failure in Santanu murder case and other cases, this show was staged. The 9 arrested persons are : 1) Rakesh Debbarma 2) Sachindra Debbarma 3) Jyan Debbarma 4) ) Sanjit Debbarma, 5) Karna Debbarma 5) Surendra Debbarma, 6) Abhiram Debbarma 7) Kanoon Mohan Malsum, 9) Ranjit Debbarma. K.V.Srijeesh, IGP said, "Through our sources, we have successfully done the investigation".

"During the investigation police were tracking the kidnappers", says Srijeesh. 

Controversy : The vehicles of the kidnapped persons were not recovered by Tripura Police but they were the local people who had seen it and informed police.  But even after informing the police, they came much late. Earlier, the family members, friends had no faith on Tripura Police, neither the kidnapped people talked to the family members regularly and after kidnapped people were released, they said they were dropped by kidnappers in a certain place, but question remains who dropped them via car ? Have police arrested them ? Tripura Police, which go through 80 % unconvicted cases in Tripura, what how exclusively is nabbing ex-militants across Tripura, it’s under question.

However, total 9 persons were arrested in Bankers kidnapping case. ‘All of them are surrendered militants’, said police.

"Acting on specific information, we have arrested six surrendered militants today (Saturday) in connection with the kidnapping of four bank officials. Two of them arrested from here, two from Mungiakami in western Tripura's Khowai district and two from Amarpur in southern Tripura's Gomati district," a police official said. Later, 2 more were arrested named Laxmi Charan Debbarma, Surendra Debbarma arrested in bankers-kidnapping case at Teliamura and later 3 more arrested yesterday night.

However, it’s to be seen whether through any press conference police declares everything clearly today or not.
