AGARTALA, Nov 15 (TIWN): From Panchayat to TCS Officer recruitment, CPI-M Govt led by 20 years of Manik Sarkar's Chief Ministry, corruptions have crossed its limits in Tripura, but when a victim's mother Manju Debnath, whose son Jiban Debnath was killed on Sep 20 in CPI-M and IPFT's ongoing clash, demanded a Govt job, Manik Dey after coming out of her house told reporters, "Demanding something is not wrong. They can demand, but it has to maintain certain rules, regulations. Jobs must be given as per the law". Jiban Debnath's brother is also a poor worker and his son is deaf and dumb. So, Jiban Debnath's family demanded a job for the elder son and that is no way wrong as Mamata Banerjee has sighted example of providing jobs to such victim families. But Manik Dey who was once beaten at Melarmath Party office by an unemployed youths claimed that 'Providing jobs need certain rules and regulations which must be followed'. With this, Manik Dey has signaled that no job can be provided to the family and 10 lakh is the highest giving to Jiban Debnath's family.
Jiban Debnath was missing since Sep-20 from Khumlwng (on the same day of Santnau's murder) remained untraced by police, but on Nov 4 (after 47 days of missing incident) Jiban Debnath's dead body was recovered by Tripura Police from the river banks, after getting informed by secret sources Police had recovered his body which was kept inside the soil.
Politics killed Jiban Debnath, but the innocent mother to suffer till her last breath. Even though Tripura Govt boosted about its Rs. 10 lakhs donation to Jiban Debnath's family but no Minister, neither the Chief Minister has met the family members for a single time before today.
Manik Dey along with DM, SDM on Wednesday has visited Jiban Debnath's home to compensate Rs. 10 lakhs to the family.
