AGARTALA, Oct 26 (TIWN): BJP Central Minister for State of 'Ministry of Women and Child Development and Minority Affairs' Virendra Kumar in his two day visit in Tripura challenged the CPI-M Govt for its defeat with BJP in 2018's Assembly Election. "I am very confident that BJP will win the election and CPI-M is only 3 months ruling party here", said Virendra Kumar. Addressing a press meet at BJP Headquarter, Kumar said, "Law and order has been fully collapsed in Tripura. Crime against women has crossed its limits. Parents remain tensed throughout the day when their daughters go to schools and colleges. Law and order comes under the State Govt but Tripura CPI-M Govt has failed to safeguard its people and the crime rate has gone at a pathetic level".
"I have experienced an intense agitation against the present Govt among the common people. People are frustrated of the Govt. Not only common people, but BJP activists are also CPI-M's target. Above 400 BJP supporters have been injured by CPI-M", said the Minister.
Hitting the development Virendra Kumar said, "After such a long regime of CPI-M, the development is zero. Under PM Modi various projects have been kicked off in Tripura and people know which govt is better.".
Boosting Modi Govt at Centre, Kumar mentioned about Border huts to Broad Gauge, Tripura Sundari to Express train, PMAY, Agartala as SMART City project under which Central has given Rs. 500 crores.
