AGARTALA, Oct 4 (TIWN): After losing 10,323 teachers case in a major embarrassment, Tripura Govt is once again undergoing major face losses (as expected) with 13000 non-teaching posts as SC has asked Tripura Govt to stop all the recruitment till the final judgment on Oct-24. Education Minister Tapan Chakrbaorty said, "We have to wait till Oct-24 and for now the recruitment will not be proceeded". "There was a heavy argument in the court between the petitioner's lawyer and Govt lawyer. Now we have to wait till Oct-24", added Chakraborty. The next hearing of 13,000 teachers has been postponed to Oct-24 at the Supreme Court. Tension has gripped 10,323 teachers as their termination is on Dec-31st.

With Supreme Court had asked Tripura Govt to set New Employment Policy by 30th April 2017, Tripura Govt has created recruited new policy but "Only for 13000 posts" with some peculiar eligibility for it had been asked.

All the posts were created for Non-Teaching staffs but with "3 or 5 yrs of Teaching Experience".

However, state govt has already served by a notice from the Supreme Court and within 2 weeks the state govt has to reply back showing reasons behind violating SC's order. After Supreme Court's asked State Govt to answer within two weeks about illegal steps of violating SC's order with 10,323 teachers' re-recruitment, Tripura Govt has answered the notice. However, now with State Govt's reply SC to review the case and the next hearing has been finalized on Oct 24. SC has stayed the recruitment of 13000 posts till Oct-24.

Talking to Tapan Chakraborty, Tripura Education Minister, he said, "SC asked us to set the policy and as per our requirement demands, we have set the RR. RR (Recruitment Rules) only We can decide, not Supreme Court".

"Cabinet has taken the decision and there is not violation of SC's order. Now if somebody files case, nothing can be done, but we will give the answer back", said Chakraborty.

Earlier, the jobless computer faculties had appealed in the High Court after their applications were rejected by Education Dept to apply for those posts.

Seeing the advertisement of 13000 non-teaching posts, the computer faculties thought they would now appeal for those posts as during their tenure in govt schools as computer teachers, they were mainly assigned with classes and other academic works just like all normal school teachers.

Now, with the stay order to the recruitment of 13,000 posts by the Supreme Court, tornado has hit Tripura Education Dept.
