AGARTALA, Oct 5 (TIWN): Even though Chief Minister Manik Sarkar didn't see the dead body of journalist Santanu Bhowmik, neither he walked any rally organized in Santanu's remembrance but his cabinet ministers to CPI-M leaders have taken successfully political mileage with Santanu Bhowmik's family. The politics that was played with Santanu's family was much easy as the victim is no more but question raises, in the same manner another victim family is crying for police's attention whose family member Jiban Debnath is missing since the day of Santanu's murder. Question raises, why no CPI-M leader has till day met Jiban Debnath's family members ? Is it because, the Govt has no answer to give his family members ?

Helpless mother of missing boy Jiban Debnath's mother Manju Debnath has placed deputation to DGP A K Sukla on Wednesday. Since 15 days Manju Debnath is being waiting for her son who was allegedly kidnapped at Khumlwng on Sep-20, on the day of Santnau's murder but till day Jiban has not returned back.

Politics, bloodshed and election : such links are very tied up with each other, but they never cause loss to the politicians but it's only common men who are victimized due to the dirty games of the political leaders.

However, whether police can find out any clue about Jiban Debnath shortly, nobody knows.

After Santnau's murder Chief Minister and other CPI-M members met the family members as the victim is silent forever. But the same politicians didn't meet Jiban Debnath's family members as the state govt's police have totally failed to rescue Jiban Debnath.

Even though an FIR was lodged in East Agartala Police Station, but no clue about Jiban Debnath has been recovered by Tripura police. Police sources said Jiban Debnath, who had taken a Delhi-based journalist and psephologist Sajjan Kumar and his guide Biswajit Debbarma to Jampui Jala, was allegedly kidnapped by by miscreants at Khumlwng on their way back to Agartala on Sep-20.

While Sajjan Kumar and his guide Biswajit Debbarma were left, Jiban Debnath was kidnapped but has remained untraced till day.Jiban's wife had filed a complaint with the East Agartala police station on Thursday but police have not been able to trace any clue so far.

"We have searched the area in collaboration with our colleagues from Khumlwng and Jampui Jala police stations but he is as yet untraced, though we are now quizzing Sajjan Kumar and Biswajit Debbarma," officer-in-charge of East Agartala police station, Milan Dutta, said.

Coming close on the heels of the murder of the journalist, the abduction of Debnath has strained the prevailing ethnic tension in Tripura.
