AGARTALA, Oct 2 (TIWN): Tripura BJP State President Biplab Deb on Monday has hit the state govt for playing with blind teachers lives and keeping them without training years after years. Providing jobs to the blind teachers in Education Dept just for vote banks has been strongly criticized by the opposition leader. Recently TIWN talked to such a victim family members who have almost taken for granted that in next NIOS Exam the blind teacher of their family can not pass that is to be held in February. The blind teacher also belonged to CPI-M Ex-MLA's family and the person was offered with job instead of allowance in 2007. Now the victim family is saying, "Providing job in the Education dept was wrong, but in other depts state govt could appoint him /her".

There are 4 more candidates, but everyone will have to pass the NIOS Exam, but till day there is no attempt by the state govt to train them or to take some responsibility to able them to pass the exams.

BJP state president Biplab Deb said in a press meet held in the evening, "As there is no law & order in Tripura so the dibyangs also will have to face NIOS exam and what will be the result everyone knows".

Tripura Govt led another recruitment scam has been exposed, when Central Govt has issued a notification about teachers’ training. As per the notifications training have to be completed within 2 years along with necessary percentages. But the teachers who were recruited under 'blind category' in 2007 they even don't know Braille method of teaching, neither they are able to do any class at the schools. For example one teacher who studied in normal school and college at Udaipur, later s/he lost eye-power due to some accident. On that time due to CPI-M’s heavy closeness with the family they managed a job for the blind person by giving posting at nearby school forever. However, after the recruitment the teacher was never trained with the initiative of state govt. But now when Central Govt has asked for competition of degrees it has created a chaos in that family.

Neither the teacher knows Braille method of study nor s/he knows how to face the exam.Such problems are however happening with many teachers.

The family members alleged that the recruitment was not wrong but the dept of state govt’s choice was incorrect and most likely they will lose jobs after 2 years as NIOS exam they can’t pass.

All are happening as the state govt has hidden many truths from the teachers even after RTE act was implemented. Moreover, the state govt is not at all cooperating with the teachers .

Teachers have demanded the state govt should take certain initiatives to resolve the issues and help them in admissions. Opposition BJP thus on Monday has strongly criticized the state govt for playing with blind teachers' lives like this.
