AGARTALA, Sep 17 (TIWN): How far the charge against common people is true ? Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said, "People avoid to hoist national flags on Independence Day, Republic Day out of frustrations. This is not their fault but our freedom fighters also never wanted such a freedom where the country will remain poor".

"In Govt programmes also people do not participate on I-Day actively and they come out of force", said CM.

However, question raises, how Manik Sarkar can judge people's sentiment who via his luxurious car every year go to the Assam Rifles ground and hoist the flag ? If houses are hoisting less flags they are doing grandly across offices.

Every schools stay colouful on I-Day, Republic Day where mother, children all stay busy at their highest level. Now a day NGOs, apolitical organizations are distributing foods, cloths to poor people on I-Day but amid all these was CM's ulimate judgement on Nationalistic sentiment  justified ?, question remains.

It was on 15th August, 2017 that Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Independence Day-2017 said that the celebration in Tripura has been marred due to the frustrations that have gripped his people due to the present govt at centre.

"To attend the I-Day programme, I was coming from my residence.........the residence which I got due to your blessings, but I hardly saw  the houses on my both sides have raised national flags.  Because they are frustrated", said CM.

Noteworthy, Tripura under Communist era fueled by its geographical location has remained without any industry with 100 % of unemployment tension and high price of commodity amid 4th pay commission for govt employees added by lowest GDP growth in whole India (7 %). However, Chief Minister claimed the whole nation is suffering due to the wrong policy of the Central Govt.
