CPI-M's 'RED' future : SSA teachers to file Defamation case against Daily-Deser-Katha Newspaper in HC for Fake-News publication about Hunger Strike

AGARTALA, Sep 16 (TIWN): Tripura SSA teachers to file a defamation case against Daily Deser Katha newspaper for publishing a fake report about their hunger strike's ending event of August 7. After 7 day long hunger strike, SSA teachers' led Hunger Strike was withdrawn when Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy's delegations had met the teachers on Strike spot, assuring the Governor will look into the matter. But Daily Deser Katha not only mentioned the Hunger Strike as a 'Drama' but also wrote "BJP Spokesperson Dr. Ashok Sinha persuaded the hunger strike by giving them water". This statement was intentionally done to display the SSA teachers' movement was a political move by connecting with Dr. Ashok Sinha. Already the SSA teachers have talked to a lawyer and all set to file a case in the High Court, SSA teacher Bastav Debbarma told TIWN on Saturday.
In that news that was titled, "7 day long Hunger Strike's Drama Ended !"

The news described, "The 7 day long Hunger Strike Drama has been ended. On Monday afternoon Tripura University Vice Chancellor Arunodoy Saha, BJP Spokesperson Ashok Sinha after giving them fruit jouices, the hunger strike was broken......" However, Dr Ashok Sinha never broke the hunger srike of SSA teachers, which will be the main point of the case as the fake-report was never apologized later.

The defamation may turn another big blow for Melarmath as recently Tripura Chief Minister has also filed a case against BJP State Observer Sunil Deodhar alleging, Deodhar has defamed Manik Sarkar.

NOTEWORTHY : SSA teachers led Hunger Strike in Tripura had continued for 7 day long at Orient Chowmuhani, led above 30 teachers to be sick and some hospitalized.

A huge number of SSA teachers have joined as a part of the agitation as schools are off today. The SSA teachers also alleged that the school authority are not allowing other teacher, who want to join the hunger strike and with various pressures the teachers have been engaged in the schools.

From South Tripura to North Tripura teachers regardless men, women have joined the agitation.  Addressing the press meet at Orient Chowmuhani, the teachers said,  "In 2010-11 Tripura Govt requested Central Govt to regularize the SSA teachers and Central Govt had regularized them. Funds have been also being sanctioned in SSA teachers' names, whether it's not announced by the State Govt". 

On day 7, SSA teachers have withdrawn their hunger strike with the intervene of Governor Tathagata Roy. A representative team had visited the teachers in the morning and after meeting the teachers decided to withdraw the strike.

Tripura University Ex-Vice Chancellor Aurnodoy Saha has given water to the SSA teachers.

With a massive faceloss for Tripura Govt, SSA teachers had sat in hunger strike demanding their regularization-notification on Aug-1.

For long 7 days the hunger strike went on and 26 teachers fall sick. 6 were hospitalized. However, with the intervene of Governor Tathagata Roy, who was then Kolkata right, the strike was withdrawn.
