AGARTALA, Sep 15 (TIWN): After Supreme Court's hard hitting order to State Govt to answer within two weeks time about illegal steps violating SC order, TIWN spoke to Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty on Friday. However rather than accepting guilt and wrongdoings Tapan kept singing old tunes defending CPI-M Govt. Even after CPI-M Govt's shameful defeat in High Court on May 7,2014, followed by Supreme Court on March 29,2017, Manik Sarkar and his deputy Tapan Chakraborty yet to accept Govt's corrupt practices which nullified by Apex Court. Supreme Court has issued notice to the Principal Secretary of Education Dept Susheel Kumar, Chief Secretary Sanjeev Ranjan against Tripura Govt proposed 13000 posts that were created to save the jobs of 10,323 teachers. The notice was served after a case was filed directly in the Supreme Court by Tripura unemployed youths, after their case was not accepted in the HC.

Supreme court in the notice asked Tripura Govt why it had violated the Supreme Court's order in reappointing 10,323 teachers as Supreme Court asked to appoint qualified teachers through TET and also to form New Employment Policy should be framed by the State by 30th April 2017.

Supreme Court named three top level officials namely :

1.     Sanjeev Ranjan , IAS , Chief Secretary , Govt of Tripura

2.     Sushil Kumar ,IAS , Principal Secretary to the Govt of Tripura, Education Department

3.     Nirmal Adhikari , Addl Secretary to the Govt of Tripura , Education Department(School) .

But talking to Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty on Friday who is holding both the Education and Law Dept, he said, "Supreme Court can not set the RR. Whatever we have set as the policy or eligibility for our created posts it's fully legal".

However, when state is resented against Tripura Govt for saving 10323 teachers jobs directly by asking to apply for 'Non-Teaching' posts with 'Teaching Experience of 5 years/ 3 years', the Education Minister said, "We never said that 13000 posts are for 10,323 teachers. Here any eligible teacher can apply".

Giving a signal of an unruly Govt, Tripura Education Minister at the Assembly clearly mentioned replying to oppositions query on 13000 newly created posts that as they are running the state ultimately they will decide how the recruitment will be held, what is need to the state only the Govt knows. Opposition MLA Ratan Lal Nath asked Tapan Chakraborty, 'How can a Govt create 13000 non-teaching posts asking eligibility of 3 to 5 years teaching experience?'.

In reply, Tapan Chkaraborty said, "We know what is needed for the department. We have created the posts..... as we will give the jobs & we will take care of them ...".

In other words, Manik Sarkar, Tapan Chakraborty left with no choice but to face the music from Supreme Court for wrongdoings as CPI-M Ministers likely to be headed to prison in coming months.
