AGARTALA, Aug 28 (TIWN): Central Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram has slammed the Left Front Govt for its consistent failure in submitting utilization certificates to the Central Govt. In a press conference held at BJP Head Quarter on Monday afternoon, Oram mentioned that Tripura people are not at all happy with the state govt. “Public are saying we are not getting anything, even though the Central Govt is sending funds”, Oram said in the press meet after he visited Chamanu and addressed a rally at there. “We are sanctioning the fund year-wise but the benefits out of those funds are are zero. Allegation also came that under Pradhan Mantri Yojna only the party people are getting highest benefits. ADC although has been created but it's for for the name sake", said Oram. Signalling about a State Autonomous Council, the Minister said, “No development has been done under the ADC in the Left Front Era. State Council is ideal for Tripura, whereas ADC is inappropriate".

"If you talk about a district then ADC is workable but Tripura has various communities and for that reason state council is ideal”

Oram also mentioned, “Separate State is not possible in Tripura. As per the need of the tribal welfare the state council will be appropriate”.

Being asked by media, why the Central Govt is sanctioning the funds if the Left Front Govt has failed to submit utilization certificates, Oram replied, “As per the constitution we have to work. We can not stop funding like this and also it may cause more deprivations to the people. But why the state govt should not utilize the funds ?”
