DD & AIR had obvious reasons to reject Tripura CMs I-Day speech : Manik's speech was a political propaganda to malign India’s national pride

AGARTALA , Aug 18 (TIWN): CPI-M’s anti-national propaganda once again exposed as Manik Sarkar’s Independence Day speech was blocked by Prasar Bharati. A row of controversy has been created by the CPI-M ruled State Govt regarding the non-telecast of Manik Sarkar's Independence Day Speech . The speech was not telecast in Doordarshan and All India Radio(AIR) as both DD and AIR found some objectionable inputs in Manik Sarkar's speech given in the govt programme . Usually in Independence Day the dignitaries starting from Prime Minister to Chief Ministers of states speak highly about the velour and sacrifice made by the freedom fighters and also ask the citizens to follow their footprints . Also the orators remember the great service being done by the soldiers of our country for the mother land . But CPI-M party and its leaders do not seem to realize the importance of such a day as their leaders even from its inception have been playing their role in such a way that can only benefit the party not the nation .ManikSarkar , though holding the official position of Chief Minister , is no such exception . On the 71st Independence Day Manik Sarkar's speech given in the Assam Rifles ground sparked controversy as CM Manik concentrated more to spread his party's message aimed at political motivation rather than speaking about the interests of the country .

In the very beginning of his speech Manik Sarkar uttered the objectionable words ," When I was coming to this historic occasion from my official residence I saw only a few houses(2 or 3 merely out of 100) where the National Flag has been unfurled . What does it indicate ? It indicates that people are frustrated about the policy of the Central Govt . The hopes , dreams of the people are different from reality . "

While addressing on the 71st independence day at Agartala Assam Rifles ground, Manik Sarkar said, "In our constitution it has been clearly written that what religion will be one's identity it's fully upto the person. Nobody has right to disturb one's religion but today it has been seen that only one religion is given importance. They are with their narrow religious mentality are targeting the minority, killing other religion's people. If we can not stop the aggressiveness, then there is no meaning of celebrating Independence day"."In the name of GoRaksha what is going on?"

"If we review the Haal-Hakitat of our nation we will see only corporate sectors existence are there, whereas poverty is increasing at the free space", said CM.

"The main political parties are misguiding the people, especially the youth, for their narrow political interests. Divisions among people are being created in the name of religion and other issues,"Manik uttered.
He said the country's wealth was concentrated in the hands of a few millionaires whereas the condition of a majority of the people was bad.
Sarkar said the Left Front government was working on alternate policies to ensure all-round development but was not getting due support and financial assistance from the Centre.

Manik Sarkarfurther said, "In our constitution it has been clearly written that what religion will be one's identity it's fully upto the person. Nobody has right to disturb one's religion but today it has been seen that only one religion is given importance. They are with their narrow religious mentality are targeting the minority, killing other religion's people. If we can not stop the aggressiveness, then there is no meaning of celebrating Independence day ."

From these words may guess that Manik Sarkar was speaking in a political rally organized by his party as his speech simply means as if he was speaking like a party leader rather than Chief Minister .

In his I-Day speech Manik Sarkar acting like a cunning CPI-M leader said ," We are encouraged by the response we are getting for our alternative policy . But we are not being able to satisfy all as the lion's share of the power of the country is enjoyed by the Central Govt . " Thus, Manik Sarkar intentionally spoke against the Govt of India in an official programme completely with a political intention that surely reduces the dignity of the programme.

In an arrogant and proud manner Manik Sarkar said ," In Tripura there is no instance of death caused by starvation . No one dies without treatment . " But Manik Sarkar tried to befool the people while saying this as he did not mention a word about the 67 deaths caused by malaria in 2014 .Even Health Minister Badal Chowdhury accepted the fact that out of these 67 persons 55 were children .

On behlaf of Doordarshanreagrding the said controversy it is clearly said, “The message of Chief Minister has been closely examined by our competent authority.

In view of sanctity of the occasion, the broadcast coad and responsibility of the public broadcaster it is not possible to telecast it in the present form. HoweverDoordarshan/ Prasar Bharati will be happy if the Honourable CM will agrees to ‘reshape the content making it suitable to the solemnity of the occasion and sentimnet of the people of India at large’.

Meanwhile a section of CPI-Ms closed media like Pranay Ray's NDTV and a group of Manik's puppet journos in Tripura seemed to have come out in support of CPI-Ms poster boy Manik as they are now barking in social media . But none of them is interested to raise the issue of objectionable contents of Manik'sspeech .

Over all observation of the common people is that DD and AiR had obvious reasons to ignore Manik's controversial speech and that is for national interest .
