AGARTALA, Aug 6 (TIWN): Manik Sarker led CPI-M Govt's 3 decades long apathy & deprivation once again exposed by SSA regularization issue. It has been long 6 days that Tripura SSA teachers in hunger strike, in demand of being regularized but with no development from the state govt side the SSAs expressed their despair for the 'inhuman' behaviour of Tripura Govt. In last 6 days Tapan Chakraborty two times held press conferences and said that the regularization of SSAs is not in state govt's hands. Tapan Chakraborty's denial of facts was amid continuous document publishing by SSA teachers via RIT in these days to show 'Regularization is upto the State Govt and it's not under the Central Govt'. However, on Sunday the SSA teachers have disclosed some other state's notifications that shows the regularization was done by the state govt, not by the Central.In case of Manipur in a notification on May 7, 2010 it was said "I am directed to say that the matter regarding liberalizing the policy of regularization of contract appoints in all the Depts had been engaging the attention of the Govt for sometime past.

 After a careful consideration, the Govt has now decided that the contract appointees in all the depts who have completed 8 years of continuous service as on 31st March, 2010 shall be eligible for regularization subject to the observance of following conditions.

Now, in case of Sikkim it was in a notification on 2011 that under State Project Office (SSA) it has been said by Govt of Sikkim, "Dept has appointed various categories of employees viz, Graduate Teachers (Ars, MAths, Bio Science ) Primary teachers through open competitive exams bin the year 2013, 2014, 2006. After the decision of the Govt, Dept has regularized all the SSA employees vide notification no. 302/ Est-I/ HRDD dated 21.02.2009".

Now, how can Tripura Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty deny that SSA's regularization is under Tripura Govt ?

On Sunday, a huge number of SSA teachers, staffs were seen at Orient Chowmuhani as a part of the agitation. Total 42 teachers are in Hunger Strike. 6 teachers till day have been hospitalized, eventhough the Association Secretary Bastab Debbarma along with others have returned from IGM hospital and held a press conference at the demonstration place.

 In 2003, the SSA project had begun in Tripura, Presently there are 5,145 teachers working in SSA and more 660 staffs are there.
