AGARTALA, May 11 (TIWN): With the speech of SFI leader Nilanjana Roy, it was clear that Tripura police’s investigation has been interrupted in Anuara murder case long back. Even after roars of protests there is no development in Anuara murder case, led the Trinamool Chatra Parishad (TMCP) to gherao CM’s residence on Thursday. There was also a report of clash emerged among police & TMCP members when police asked the protesters not to come forward. Instead of multiple news, protests when crime against women has reached 86 % in Tripura, being the Home Minister CM Manik Sarkar seems to have no headache regarding all these led the political, non-political organizations to protest again and again. On Wednesday evening also Anuara’s friends demanding her post mortem report’s copy hit Agartala City with roars of protests. The students raised questions on police's investigation as well as demanded proper inquiry.

Apart from that many political, non-political rallies were done demanding justice from the police, but seeing no result once again the students had blocked the road, demanding the post mortem report to be published.

Earlier, Tripura Trinamool Chatra Parishad placed deputation to the Director General of Police on April-19.

Talking to the DGP A K Sukla, TMCP members said, “Demand for speedy and fair investigation on the death of late Anuara Chowdhury, who was a student of Women’s Polytechnic College, Hapania and immediate stopping of threats by police towards students, who are demanding justice on the issue”.

The student union also raising data of NCRB mentioned that girls, women are not at all safe in Tripura.

Their 3 strong demands were :

1.     Assurance of speedy and fair investigation on Anuara death,

2.     Action against anybody and everybody who might be found responsible for the tragedy,

3.     Immediate stoppage of police threats and other terms of atrocities on students.

It’s worthy to mention here that on Tuesday Trinamool Student Union blocked Post Office Chowmuhani road on Tuesday, issuing Anuara murder case.

This 16 years girl named Anuara Choudhury had died on April-11, who was residing at her uncle's house after her mother had died and father got remarried.

She was a very talented girl, studying at Polytechnic College, was an excellent painter. Eventhough her uncle was rich enough, but she were living in a barren room at a corner of the house.

On 11 April, suddenly she was admitted at Hospital and died suspiciously. She wanted to talk to her father at hospital, but before he arrived she died. But her uncle without any procession gave her 'Kabar', (grave).

But local people alleged that she was killed by her family and immediately political parties raised protest roars.

Later her body was recovered from grave and post mortem report was revealed that she was killed, not died normally.
