AGARTALA, May 10 (TIWN): Reacting over Gautam Das’s statement that Tripura has no beggar BJP leader Subal Bhowmik labeling 36 lakhs people as the ‘deprived-beggar’ said, “In Tripura we all are beggars. From 8 lakhs of unemployed youths to 1.5 Govt employees everyone is begging for their rights under Communist regime”. “Due to state govt’s failure to send utilization certificates, the MGNREGA works are almost going to end. Poor people are not getting their wages, 7.94 vacant posts are there, but Govt is not filling the posts amidst 90 : 10 fund sharing in all the projects”, said Bhowmik. “Whereas the state is suffering from crisis, CPI-M has created 10,000 crores of party funds across Tripura. Today due to wrong recruitment policy, teachers are identified with numbers in state, marked with 10,323 label. In Congress Era, no pressure was given on the state govts for utilization certificate, but with BJP Govt’s coming in centre now all the corruptions have been tracked & that’s the worry of CPI-M Govt”, said Bhowmik. “GDP has been downed below 7 %. Amit Shah’s speeches were data base and that hit CPI-M heavily, but if a single person’s visit haunts CPI-M so much then what will be CPI-M’s condition when Cornel, Left General will come in state to campaign against CPI-M’s corruption”, said Bhwomik.

It’s worthy to mention here that reacting on Amit Shah’s Tripura visit, CPI-M spokesperson Goutam Das held a 1 hour long press conference in clarification of all the allegations brought by Amit Shah. "At Kumarghat Amit Shah said that Tripura's development is zero, here unemployment is 8 lakhs, tribals are deprived. But all are lies and in case of development under left front Era, development is huge. Tripura is first in source of income, literacy rate, connectivity, no-beggar, Fasal Bima etc in whole Northeast", said Das.

On the other hand Shah said, “It’s really quite surprising that in Tripura a source of income means a govt job. Whereas in other states many people do not want to be in Govt jobs, in Tripura for Govt jobs people can do anything resulting 10,323 teachers’ recruitment scam. The fall in agriculture and no utilization of central funds to develop domestic productions, tourism and other things have burdened the state with around 8 lakhs of unemployed youths”, said Shah.

“The condition of UPA Era at Centre was also same with no investment for IT, skill development etc”, Shah added.

Keeping all the points and debates in hand, BJP leader Subal Bhowmik said that in Tripura 36 lakhs people are beggars under the left front govt.
