AGARTALA, April 13 (TIWN): Manik Sarkar Govt’s massive scam exposed when 10323 teachers illegal recruitment was scrapped by High Court in May 2014, followed by Supreme Court on March 29,2017. In 10,323 teachers’ case at High Court, Tripura Govt was given an option to provide those 58 petitioners equal job as per their qualification. But the stubbornness of the state govt left those 10,323 teachers today jobless. Same mistake has once again Tripura Govt done in these last 5 days by not responding to the agonies of hunger strikers. If the Govt had once met the strikers or assured to publish the advertisement within a certain time, then the Agrucilture Dept could be save, but instead of fulfilling their legal demands Agriculture Director D P Sarkar told the youths that it will take time to publish the advertisement, although it was issued by High Court to ‘publish with modification’. The youths 3 times also met the Chief Minister of state, but had the CM heard the plea of those unemployed youths, then the scenario would be different.

But very soon the youths will file a case against the Agriculture Dept for deriving the unemployed youths since a decade and irregular appointments done since 1999 in the dept. This case not only hit the state govt, but also may turn heavy upon all the A Class Agri-Officers appointed after 1999 & like 10,323 all of them may lose their jobs.

Talking to Prabir Dutta, one of the deprived unemployed under Agriculture & Horticulture Dept., he mentioned that immediately after the Bengali New Year (or Naba Barsha) ends, they will file the case in High Court against 3 major illegal recruitments done under Tripura Agriculture Dept which will include all the A Class Agri Officers appointed after 1999, and as well as the PH quota violation. Whereas the Govt for long a decade didn’t appoint any PH but in 2016 at the same time 3 quotas were reserved for PH. If in 2016 it can happen then what about other advertisements. If the advertisements submits in Court, as per the petitioners, all the recruitments after 1999 will be proven as illegal.

Now question raises, when the state govt is almost sinking with unemployment burdens, why CM took another challenge ? What will the Govt do if all the Agri Officers lose once their job? Then instead of Tapan Chakraborty, Aghore Debbarma will say, “Govt will be with Agri Officers?” .........as they told the RMSA and Jute Mill and 10,323 teachers?

Reportedly, since long 7 years no recruitment was done in TAFS Gr-I (Agri-Officer)  post, whereas out of 383 posts 237 posts are left vacant. Moreover, in Central projected Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) also not a single post has been filled up. Amidst the fund releasing by Centre : State as 90 : 10, total 250 posts are still vacant. Apart from that under KVK, AICRP (PP) many posts are also vacant.

The Dept. of Agriculture in 2016 via an advertisement noticed to fill up 50 posts but with the order of the High Court TPSC (Advt. 06/2016) the recruitment process was stopped as High Court found the  advertisement was not valid as per recruitment laws.Apart from that since 1999 and before that also all the Agri-Officers recruitment were invalid and the unemployed youths to file case in High Court soon.

The unemployed youths further demanded that the 50 posts must be filled up by following High Court's order with more posts. They also mentioned that many unemployed youths are becoming over aged including P.hd holders, whereas since 7 years no recruitment was done in this dept.
