AGARTALA, March 17 (TIWN): The Northeast State Tripura's 23 subdivisons had been divided for faster growth and development, but with a surprise it has revealed that 5 of its subdivisions yet to have any small industry sector. The Industry Dept was chaired by earlier Jiten Chowdhury (Presently MP) and now Minister Tapan Chakraborty. But till day apart from few chit fund groups named industries that ruined that state, not a single industry could grow either its Jute Mill or Bamboo industries. Reportedly, Santir Bazar, Korbook, Panisagar, Kanchanpur, Gandacharra subdivisions have not a single industry. Other subdivions condition is not at all satisfactory as Khowai has 1 small industry, Sabroom-1, Longtarai Valley-2, Amarpur-1, Jampui-1, Jirania-8, Mohonpur-9, Bishalgarh-12, Sonamura-10, Teliamura-7, Belonia-6, Kumarghat-7, Kamalpur-7, Ambassa-7. However, Wheras at Agartala it's claimed for 195 small industries and Udaipur-1 small industries but the Govt data is heavily suspicious as Tripura's small industries data are maximum alleged just for namesake. More interestingly, Tripura's industry dept website till day has preserved the Rose Valley industry's name whereas the company escaped with chit fund heads processed to jail.

However, lack of investment, misruling are responsible for such conditions of industry sectors as till day no investment was done from Tripura Govt side, which is responsible for more than 7 lakhs of unemployed youths presently in state.

Whereas Rs. 10,000 crores have been invested in neighboring state Assam  for Industry field in last 6 months and Govt is going to provide 7th pay commission to its employees but Tripura Govt is sitting with empty hands, without any growth and prosperity.

With this development state Tripura ended with 11.54 % revenue generation. However, the opposition alleged that Tripura’s GDP growth and revenue generation is almost zero but just to show off the Govt is maintaining a standard. As per Tripura Govt’s claim the State’s share of Central Taxes is 28. 55 %. But as per the Central Ministers’ overview of Tripura’s tax collection and revenue generation it has been quite unsatisfactory somehow.

However, Central Govt has taken initiative to make NE as an Industry hub and it has sanctioned Rs. 54 crores for Tripura's skill development for the year to diminish unemployment and come over the crisis situation.
