AGARTALA, March 15 (TIWN): Industry Minister Tapan Chakraborty’s security guard Badal Sur(40) allegedly committed suicide on Wednesday at Minister’s official quarter by shooting himself from service gun. Immediately, his body was sent to GB hospital but he was already dead. However, no suicide note yet has been recovered from there. FIR has been lodged in West PS, for proper investigation of the case and presently his body has been sent for post mortem. Sources said that due to some family issues, Badal Sur committed suicide. Tapan Chakraborty’s quarter is in the same area, where other Minister and Chief Minister reside in Tripura known as Marx Angels Sorony. The incident occurred at 9 AM. Police said that Sur’s house is at Siddhi Asram area, Agartala.

This incident has triggered much tension at Marx Angels Soroni as the sound of the gun hit whole TRTC area.

Badal Sur was working under Tripura Police and appointed as the security guard of the Minister.

This tragic incident of  Badal Sur who was a police havildar in the official residence of Tapan Chakraboty, shot himself in the mouth.

His body has been sent for post mortem and  after post mortem his body will be handed over to his family members.

Tapan Chakraborty is a Tripura Minister holding chairs of Education, Industry Depts.
