Agartala, June 24(TIWN): The National Student’s Union of India (NSUI)Tripura state committee on Tuesday sought judicial enquiry onallegations of result controversy of the Madhyamik results announced by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) earlier this month. Speaking to reporters after submitting deputation to Joint Director of the Department for School Education Dilip Debbarma here this morning, NSUI state president Bapi Das Said that the student body suspected deep conspiracy in the results announced by the Tripura Board.

Over fifty students, who appeared in the Madhyamik examination conducted by the TBSE this year, were given RA for their results. “We want to state that if the students didn’t resort to any illegal means for their exams, they shouldn’t be subjected to any form of undue punitive action”, NSUI said in its memorandum submitted to the School Education Department today. The TBSE faced serious criticism following award of mark sheet preparation tender to an Kolkata-based inexperienced company in 2008 following which a committee headed by the then principal secretary for school education AK Mangotra.

The committee suggested up gradation and digitization of all works of the Board by 2010. The state cabinet later accepted the report and instructed the TBSE to act according to the suggestions laid out by the Mangotra Committee though the instruction wasn’t carried out till date.
