AGARTALA, Jan 13 (TIWN): Even though various controversies erupted during tainted Datamohon Jamatia’s era as Law Secretary regarding promotions of Govt employees, but finally Data Mohan got back his earlier position as the Law Secretary solely due to biased CM Manik Sarkar. Reportedly, under CPI-M (HGB Road) Union leaders pressure, State Secretariat recently published a promotion list for Head-Assistants, where ST candidates were deprived. Immediately after the list was published the deprived candidates had submitted written complaint in the Secretariat. High Court had already enlisted the guidelines about how to proceed with promotion policy, although CPI-M govt didn’t like the policy at all and further went to Supreme Court. Supreme Court later brought stay order against HC’s order but suddenly breaking down all the laws the CPI-M govt. has indulged again in violating promotion-policy, although in the promotion order it has been said, “…. Subject to final outcome of SPL (C ) No. 19765-19767of 2015 pending in the Supreme Court of India.'

This incident has created much resentments among the Govt Employees, as already High Court had cancelled Tripura Govt’s Reservation Policy on promotions.

Moreover, the oneness of working process led by Left Front Govt didn’t end here. The promotion process began from 5^th January, but the urgency of promotion is so much that the govt is not getting time for publishing seniority list. Now question arises if the Supreme Court follows High Court’s order what will be the condition of the promoted employees?

Datamohon Jamatia who was accused of 3 allegations was given off as the Law Secretary of the state. But once again as soon he return to his position the violations of rules have begun in full swing in promotion cases.

The then Chief Justice of Tripura High Court Deepak Gupta in January 2016 issued notice to the Law Secretary Datamohan Jamatia asking him to submit explanation in writing' Why Criminal Contempt of Proceedings' won't be lodged against D M Jamatia for writing insulting remarks on High Court and Chief Justice ? However, Datamohon received relief when allegations were removed later. But as soon as the allegations were removed, Datamohon began his activity in full wave.

This is the same person who was violating SC/ ST promotion under Tripura Govt for years and years, who was also helping the 10,323 teachers bogus recruitment and shameless CPI-M govt has finally brought him back to his position.

Now with this new allegation, resentments of the govt employees remained no end !
