KAMALPUR, Jan 10 (TIWN): The practice and spread of art and culture always remained to be a matter of boon for the sub divisional town of Kamalpur.

Though sometimes that practice got unnecessarily coloured politically and many possibilities nipped in the bud. Still someone like Rajesh Sutradhar began a new trend quite unfamiliar to this small town some years ago. And continuing this tradition he arranged for his 2^nd solo art exhibition for three days from last evening at town hall.

SDPO Dr. Chandan Saha inaugurated the show and Journalist Anish Bhatatcharjee remained present as the Chief Guest. Both the guests in their speeches put emphasis on the spread of such finer abilities like art and painting among the youths and also gave a clarion call to the guardians and art-lovers to buy their piece of choice from the exhibition.

Rajesh Sutradhar brought about a new beginning in the traditional trend of teaching of art and painting among the kids here at Kamalpur. He also started the saga of exhibition to motivate the youths. In this exhibition he showed portrait, abstract and miniature painting.

He worked on the oil pastel and acrylic on paper as well as on clothes. Moreover he showed some pieces of water colour. Rajesh already became a familiar name in the arena of art and painting in state and abroad. He also announced to contribute some amount from his earnings of this exhibition to relief fund for earthquake hit people.
