AGARTALA, Jan 4 (TIWN): “Why CBI inquiry is delaying in Tripura ?”… this important question being raised frequently when it comes to Tripura’s Rs 1500 crores Chit Fund scams. Whereas opposition BJP, Congress are saying that due to CBI’s lack of interest the Rose Valley inquiry is dragging here, but MLA Sudip Barman on Wednesday released various data since the year 2000 when Manik Sarkar was the then law Minister of Tripura, after which it no confusion remains about how Sarkar’s “intimacy” with Rose Valley group of Agency. First in the press meet at TMC Bhawan, the video of CM Manik Sarkar’s speech delivered in 2008 during Rose Valley Park inauguration was played, where Sarkar was saying, “This Rose Valley is a huge organization, which has created trust omong the public’s mind everywhere”. The video also added, how in later times, Sarkar fully declined for his intimacy with Rose Valley.

Tripura Chief Minister created a web of corrupt IAS, IPS officer lobbies led by former Chief Secretary Sanjay K Panda (CM appointed him as Chairman Skill Development Mission), present Principal Secretary G.S.G Ayyangar (nationally known corrupt IAS oficer in Hyderabad Rs 8 crores Street Light Scam), CBI Charsgesheeted DGP K. Nagraj, retired DGP Pranay Sahay (whom Manik appointed as Member of Police Accountability commission),  present Joint Director CBI Rajib Singh (Manik Sarkar's next choice of DGP), then many Manik Sarkar's close IAS, IPS officials like former Chief Secretary G.K.Rao, Former Addl Chief Secretary K.V.Satyanarayana kind of officials whom Manik Sarkar rehabilated in Tripura with plum posts after retirements so that Chief Minister's corrupt empire stays intact.

However progressing with the press conference Barman said, “When Rose Valley came in Tripura Bijita Nath, Manik Sarkar, Tapan Chakraborty and other legislators propagated the company. Not only this the CPI-Ms did as much as possible to create the trust for the company among the public mind”.

“On 1999 a law was passed in after opposition Congress held protest in the Assembly. The Act was “The Tripura Protection of Interest of Depositors (In Financial Establishments ) Act. That time Manik Sarkar also the Law Minister of Tripura, but it took 7 years more to get a print out of the law in the Govt offices”, said Barman. “But Manik Sarkar as the Law Minister was abide by all laws regarding Chit-fund, then how come under his Ministry such a disaster happened”.

Barman said, As per Assembly report last, on last 12th May, 2013, total 10 reports were sent to CBI for inquiry, among them 3 reports only belonged to the Rose Valley among them in one report was sent without any data & the rest of 2 were sent by Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 5,400’s amount. Then CBI seeing the total amount of Rs. 15,400 declined to take the case and replied this small amount will not come under CBI inquiry. But in reality more than 97  crores were looted by Rose Valley Chit fund groups as per the data gathered from Agartala East & West Police Station. Now you can imagine what will be the whole Tripura’s status”.

Sudip Barman also wrote letter to the Prime Minister multiple times and also to the CM. However, in another latter Rakesh Sarwal replied to Barman on 2nd January that CM has received his letter, where earlier S K Rakesh said that this issue fully belong to the State Govt, not CBI.

Moreover, in Guwahati  High Court also declared on 2015 that… “In the said case (WP ( C ) 401 /2013 and 413 / 2013 it was brought to the notice of SC that the chit-fund companies operating in the states of Orissa, Tripura and Assam….”.

However, various documents, court orders, letters were published by Sudip Barman and also a book distributed which he published during his Congress leadership.

Only time will tell how far India's most tainted Chief Minister can manipulate CBI investigations in his favor by using the web of corrupt, bootlicking IAS, IPS officials.
