Agartala, June 4 (TIWN): The mute role of state government regarding the continuation of jobs of 10,323 teachers which the High Court cancelled is increasing resentment gradually among the teachers. Even after the decision to submit leave petition in Supreme Court, the government is not taking any step that has raised questions among the party supporters.
The leaders of Tripura Employees’ Co-ordination Committee (TECC) also could not assure the terminated teachers about their future. After the termination of 10,323 teachers, the state government assured that they would go for Apex court challenging the High Court verdict and a member team also went to Delhi recently. They returned back to the state empty handed.
Questions were raised, why the team returned back without submitting petition? There are doubts that the lawyers of Delhi did not assure anything, hence, they returned back. The Department Minister said that they will not appeal in the Vacation Court of Supreme Court. They will go to Delhi after vacation.
Why the state Advocate General and legal officials went to Delhi despite of knowing that Supreme Court will remain closed? The lawyers of Delhi could not assure state government’s victory over the issue. Ministers and leaders, no one is giving assurance to the terminated teachers and their families. Even they are totally ignoring the issue.
On which basis the state government would appeal for the continuation of the jobs of 10,323 teachers is yet to be ascertained. Why the government is maintaining such silence in case of the continuation of jobs? The family of terminated teachers is passing their days in dilemma. What is waiting for them after Dec 31 and will the government take any initiative?
