AGARTALA, Sep 14 (TIWN): PCC Chief Birajit Sinha on Tuesday, stressing upon Assembly’s rejection of Trinamool’s proposal to make the party as Tripura’s Opposition party, he said that the membership of those 6 MLAs should also be canceled from Tripura Assembly.

“Sudip Roy Barman to secure his position as MLA & to travel via Ministers vehicles has given up his leadership to Diba Chandra Rankhol”, Sinha said. Talking to TIWN, he mentioned that as per law a 6 persons’ team can not be considered as opposition party.

Asking about whether he is happy with Assembly Speaker’s decision, Sinha said, “Nothing to be excited as per law Speaker has taken his decision, but Congressalso  demanded to cancel their memberships also. But due to intimacy between CPI-M & Congress, it’s yet to be done”.

It is to be mentioned here that the MLAs Sudip Roy Barman (former Tripura Congress Legislature Party leader), Ashish Saha, Diba Chandra Hrangkhawl, Pranjit Singha Roy and Dilip Sarkar submitted their arguments against the petition by state Congress president Birajit Sinha.

Sinha's petition had urged the speaker to cease the memberships of the 'defectors' from the assembly. Another MLA who had shifted allegiance, Biswabandhu Sen, has already been suspended from Congress for six years for 'anti-party' activities.

On 6th Sept. TMC Chairman Ratan Chakraborty gave the proposal before the Assembly Speaker Ramendra Chandra Bebnath. 7 days after Tripura Trinamool Congress declared Dibachandra Rankhol as the opposition leader, the Assembly speaker of Tripura Assembly finally on Monday rejected Trinamool Congress' (TMC) demand for the status of main opposition party in the assembly, resulted huge amount of resentment among the TMC leaders.

Following that TMC on 11th Sept told media that they are going to take legal action. On the other hand, Biranjit Sinha claiming for his 2nd demand to be fulfilled, which is---------- to cancel the membership of those 6 MLAs.
