AGARTALA, Sep 5 (TIWN): State BJP placed deputation to Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy with the allegation of huge corruption in Pradhan Matri Awas Yojna (PMAY) under CPI-M regime.

According to Tripura BJP  VP Subal Bhowmik, the ongoing corruption under PMAY has already gripped  Tripura before it started to function. Although the project is yet to start in Urban areas, but names of the beneficiaries have already gathered by CPI-M Party machineries in urban bodies.

In total 42,896 poor families living under urban area have been selected to provide house under this mentioned scheme. But the selection process has been accomplished by CPI-M cadres to reap political mileage before the Assembly Election to be held on 2018, said Bhowmik.

The guidelines set by the Ministry was not at all followed by the ruling govt in Tripura neither the real deprivers are going to be benefited with that project. BJP further claims the 60 % of the name submitted in the beneficiary list are fake.

It’s worthy to mention here that after massive scams in almost all the centrally sponsored schemes in Tripura, Manik Sarkar led CPI-M Govt involved in gross irregularities with the PM Modi's dream project of 'Housing For All By 2022' under Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation.

Without making the common people aware about the scheme beneficiaries were selected as per wish of the CPI-M cadres. On 17th June 2015 the Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave its approval for the launch of “Housing for All by 2022”—but alas ! in such a corrupted state the scheme  is not utilizing in fair manner as the govt. is silent against such issues.

However, Prime Minister envisioned Housing for All by 2022 when the Nation completes 75 years of its Independence. In order to achieve this objective, Central Government has launched a comprehensive mission “Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Housing for All (Urban)”.

But in Tripura nobody is aware about the scheme and many people also do not know about the online application for houses.
