KAMALPUR, Aug 12 (TIWN): After much ado and most-probably realizing the present political situation, Kamalpur Nagar Panchayat decided to stand by the evicted hawkers inside its area. The authority would distribute movable sheds among the evicted hawkera on 16th August next. The Executive Officer Rameswar Chakraborty informed about the decision.

Almost six months ago the Nagar Panchayat conducted eviction drive to make the town clean. In this drive almost 100 hawkers lost their earning. Then they had to depend on TUEP and daily wage based labours.

The authority not found it necessary to provide them any sort of guaranteed earning. But the gaining of strength by BJP and the visit of Mamata Banarjee changed the situation.

After the instruction of the party headquarter the public relations of the leaders and comrades changed a lot. And in this continuation, the Nagar Panchayat also adopted a different attitude. Its resulted into the decision of distribution of movable sheds among the hawkers.
