AGARTALA, Aug 8 (TIWN): Although Dipa disappointed few events, but atlast she secured her 8th position in vault, & finally Dipa will play in Final for individual vault. Dipa Karmakar now has become the first Indian to reach the final of artistic Gymnastics. She qualified after finishing eighth in the qualification with a total score of 14.850 in two vaults. After USA Simmon Bills scores 16.050, Dipa could rank 8th on the match. However, breaking down all the obstacles Dipa will play in final for Individual vault. Every Olympic participants had practiced a lot to give their best performances during the time which was given to them for perform at Olympic 1st round--- those few Seconds which they conquered to perform at Rio decides the fate of an athlete. An athlete’s performance, talent all depends upon just on those few seconds. Few candidates started to cry on the stage, after they could not perform as per expectations. But the audience who came to see the country winning instead of disappointment, were waving countries flag to support Countries athletes and they have carried the medal-dream for Next Olympics.

 Those all young starts tried their best to keep the confidence on their faces and also tried to keep strength inside their mind. 

However, although for countries like Brazil and Russia the players were lucky enough as they had multiple persons and joint-groups who could make up each other, but Tripura girl had nobody was there apart from her coach. As no Indian apart from her was there, so Dipa Karmakar was one of the sports-stars who was also Lonely carrying billions of hopes from their each nations.

With Heena Sidhu failing to qualify for the women’s 10m air pistol final. On the AstroTurf, however, women’s hockey team cheated defeat to hold Japan 2-2. All eyes are on gymnast Dipa Karmakar now.

“I will put every effort to ensure that I keep creating history”, it was said by Dipa before she left for Rio.

Just before the match talking to Dipa Karmakar’s father Dulal Karmakar he told TIWN, “You can understand what kind of tension, we are passing through. Let her just qualify the first round we are now praying to God”, he added. 

Tripura sports Minister Sahid Chowdhury told TIWN, “As the Sports Minister, I wish Dipa’s success and domination over Rio Olympic”.

However, nobody can deny that the 22-year-old has given a life to India’s gymnast world.   Apart from being the first Indian woman, she also became first from the country to qualify for the quadrennial extravaganza after 52 long years. Till day from India although 11 Indian male gymnast have taken part in the Olympics, but Dipa bring and brought-up in NE State Tripura has created history in Indian Gymnast World. But Dipa and her coach alone ran the show, whereas for other countries plenty of supporters, multiple players were present. But Dipa and her coach were found to encourage each other on that foreign environment. Moreover, she has qualified for final on Aug 14. 

Dipa & her Coach Bisweswar Nandi  lonely did “Well” amidst all foreign audience amidst almost no cheers for Indian gymnast, no tri-colour flag waved at Rio.

Her rank is 77 in Women's uneven bars Points : 11.666, Women's floor exercise she ranks 75 : 12.033, Women's beam: rank 65, points : 12.866, Women's vault : rank 8, Points : 1.850

The final is scheduled for August 14 at 11:15 pm IST.
