AGARTALA, July 27 (TIWN): State Tripura is suffering from acute petrol crisis, but illegal smugglings surprisingly, going smoothly via Southern border. State Tripura is facing fuel crisis, public suffering from high commodity price and people across the state is blocking roads, in demand of 1 litre petrol.

Taking the crisis-situation opportunity, black marketers are transferring petrol to Tripura’s mainland from Bangladesh, which is selling at Rs. 300/- per litre. People however, are bound to buy the fuel at high price.

Due to rampant black marketing, BOC workers in South Triputa are not all bothered about the crisis-situation. In Agartala due to people’s daily agitation  petrol pump dealers are atleast under tremendous pressure, but at Sabroom  due to lack of protest and available black market business in the subdivision, the dealers are happily sleeping  by hanging ‘No Petrol Sign’.

Common people are unable to manage their everyday budget due to high commodity price. Sugar per kilo has gone to 80 rupees, Kerosine available at 50 Rupees. In the mean time rice, daal, salt every commodities prices’ are  high.

In this situation petrol are selling at Rs. 300 to 400. However, question raised also about the Border Security Guards’ vigilance in Sabroom border.

If the borders are not keep alert then it easily becomes the main gate for  ISIS terrorist or other extremist.

South Tripura’s border issues remained yet remained unsolved, even after the central Govt. officials continuous arrival into the state. Among all the Districts the South Tripura District is presently undergoing crucial periods due to its 16 Km (15.929 km) unfenced borderareas.  South SP Bhanupada Chakraborty said that whereas the total area of Tripura’s Southern Indo-Bangla border is 204.438 km, the fencing has been done on 188.509 km. and more 16 km need to be fenced.

MHA Border Management Secretary Susheel Kumar has reportedly stressed the issues and also inspected at Indo-Bangla border areas under South Tripura after he completed his meeting with the District Magistrate Chandrakumar Jamatia.

Moreover, sources said that Shusheel Kumar also raised question why so many market stalls have been setup in the name of BADP Project under South Tripura? He further directed not to setup this type of Market stalls again in current financial year and to develop other infrastructures.
