KAMALPUR, July 26 (TIWN): The mysterious and irresponsible role of Salema police in serving summon properly made a complainant to be denied of justice as the Court naturally discharged the case after absence of the complainant date after date. The police showed the complainant not being at the residence. It got revealed that, as the accused paid the investigating officer a large sum of money, hence summons were not served.

According to the allegation, on 2nd May last, some miscreants led by one teacher Gopal Debnath of Singinala under Salem police station ransacked the vegetables of 5 kanis of land of one Sulekha Debnath due to their earlier enmity. Then the couple knocked the SDPO on that very day and after his instruction Salema police station registered a case numbered 15/2016 under sections 147, 149, 447, 427 and 506 of IPC. But, at the very beginning the police cancelled the name of the main accused Gopal Debnath from the case. Then the couple remained waiting for summon and the date of the hearing.

But after two months they contacted with the Court and it got revealed that, the case got discharged on 30th June. And it happened so as the complainant not attended the Court even after repeated summons on 24th May, 16th June and 26th June.
