AGARTALA, July 25 (TIWN): The newly laid BG tracks are left in unstable condition and yet the state administration clamours about running Agartala- Delhi BG Express train on July 31. It is to be mentioned here that only 5 days are left for the so called inauguration of the BG express train as claimed by state administration but so far no notification is circulated by NFR so far. As per the system, before any inauguration NFR gives notification regarding the inauguration of the Express train mentioning the time, venue and other details regarding the inauguration but as of now nothing such is done do far which indicates that there is least chance of running Express train on July 31. Talking to TIWN correspondent, NFR construction official Pratp Singh said that the first Express train will run its wheel on the track of July 31 and Union Railway minister Suresh Prabhu will inaugurate the train. Although NFR CR Harpal Singh also made a visit in the state to prepare a roadmap for the inauguration but uncertainty looms large as the tracks are not stable to toll the tracks. Question arises on what basis the state administration is claiming to run the train.It is to be mentioned here that, running Express train has always remain a dilemma since the beginning.

There was a time when it was spreaded in the media that Rajdhani express will run but ultimately nothing happened in case of Tripura.

It  is nothing but a game plan of Tripura government where they are trying to bluff the people by diverting the concentration of the people from dilapidated nation al highway to the railway service as the today national highway has turned immovable due to the negligence of the state PWD department when they took over from the central.

It will be not less than a miracle if BG Express train starts running from July31.

However, distinct advantage of having a broad gauge rail destination at Agartala would be that it will not only serve as a railway junction for further expansion of network in the region but would, in the later stages, also help in supplementing the rail connection with neighbouring countries, particularly Bangladesh. In addition to improving the transport infrastructure in the region, this would also be an adjuvant to India’s “Act East” policy.

Commencement of Express train to bring revolution in the history of Tripura. NFR Chief Engg. Construction Harpal Singh on Saturdayarrived in the state and took a note for making the arrangements of the flag off ceremony of Agartala- Delhi BG Express train on July 31.

Fulfilling the year long demands of BG passengers train service finally running smoothly over past few days in the landlocked state- Tripura which has recently made its place in the railway map of the world connecting with rest of India.

A pair of passenger train is continuously rolling its wheel between Silchar and Agartala.

The long wait of northeastern state of Tripura to have direct broad-gauge rail connectivity with rest of India comes true after a long session of wait. However, now the wait begins for the express train service.
