AGARTALA, July 12 (TIWN): A voice raised on the occasion of Kharchi 2016 against the increasing demand for Twipra land along with condemning against the Dhaka Café attack, and also the attack during Eid. Both the Ministers Manik Dey and Manindra Reang talked about the importance of ‘peace’ and asked the people of Tripura to live in unity rather than fighting in the name of a particular religion. Minister Manik Dey said, “Tripura is known for its tribal/ no-tribal unity. But unfortunately in the name of demands people have started to dream about a separate state, which is nothing but inviting major clashes in society”. Giving example Manik Dey said, “Today in fair the state Govt. had to arrange a huge security as the terrorist-threat consist everywhere”. “In the name of religion few barbaric people are killing innocent people, recently which held in Dhaka café and following on the occasion of Eid”, he added. He further added about the present critical condition of Jammu and Kashmir.

He also said, “In the name of religion Muslim-Terrorist are killing thousand lives including women, children who are innocent ! Who has nothing to do with Terrorism !”.“Killing innocent people is sin, and hatred thus is a curse on earth”, he said. “The condition of whole world is very bad”, he added.

He also criticized about the demand of IPFT for a separate land. He said, “Problems are everywhere, in democracy it’s natural to have problems, but the fight for demands should be in a democratic way, not by being violent which results in killing thousands”.

“Whereas India is a democratic country and has been remained as an unique example for unity, so one should maintain the status of peace in Tripura too”, he added.

The Chief Guest of the programme Manindra Reang said that, “Tribals should be indebted to the CPI-M Govt. who gave them recognition”.

He also said, “I am not talking in political language, but the fact itself is if Govt. would not updgrade the tribals they would not have any recognition. “The tribal Culture of Tripura was fully promoted by Tripura Govt.”, he added.

“But unfortunately the clashes which are arising fueled by few political groups with new demands such as Twipra Land, is spoiling the peace of the state and inviting terrorism threats”.

“So maintain the relation between yourself as same before when the whole world is suffering from various terrorist attacks”, he added.
