KAMALPUR, July 7 (TIWN): In a mysterious move Ambassa police not filed any case against the auto driver Madan Debnath who hit the vehicle of the OC of the Ambassa PS with his auto bearing number TR-04-3165 last afternoon around 5 pm. Though the police detained the driver at the instant but later on left him go from the police station.
According to the information, last afternoon Madan was heading from Ambassa with his auto in an intoxicated condition. Then the OC of Ambassa was returning to the police station from opposite side on Kamalpur-Ambassa road.
When the vehicles reached Thakurpally area them suddenly Madan hit the OC’s vehicle head on going to the wrong side. His auto received major damage and the cops took him to hospital. Then he was taken to the police station. But no case was filed against him and he was left.
Many praised this activity of police as humanitarian and praised the role of OC. But at the same time, when Madan drove a reasonable distance without any problem, then why he lost control in the case of OC’s vehicle remained a big question. Many remained of the view that, police should register case and go to the root of the problem.
