AGARTALA, July 4 (TIWN): With the rationing of petrol supply in the state, black marketing has spiked up drastically.
Almost all the petrol pumps are running dry giving rise to black marketing of petrol in the state.
Although there is no supply of petrol in the pumps but it is easily available in black market with higher rates. Major petrol pumps in Agartala too have hanged the no petrol board.
Long queue of people were found waiting with their motorcycles in front of the petrol pump in the vicinity of Agartala.
Motor cycle users of the city have been facing an unprecedented crisis following the unavailability of fuel in most of the petrol pumps, catering to the requirement of motorists of the city and its surrounding areas.
Despite of passage of several days, State is yet facing acute shortage of petrol. Long queue of vehicles observed in front of most of the petrol pumps seeking diesel and petrol.
It is to be mentioned here that for almost past 15 days the common mass is suffering due to acute shortage of diesel in the State. Despite of several hue and cry of the common mass the State Government is lacking proper intervention over the issue.
Day after day people are facing trouble due to the acute shortage of diesel / petrol in the state.
Stressing over the situation, a consumer stated that authority of the state should take some measure to overcome the crisis because we have been waiting for hours to fill petrol.
The prolonged crisis faced by the common mass has disrupted the daily movement in the area.
In the beginning the shortage affected heavy vehicles requiring large diesel refill, but has eventually hit the normal commuters as well. As things stand, many trucks are on standby on city outskirts in demand of diesel.
However, taking advantage of the situation the black marketers are carrying on with their illicit business in full fledged.
The situation had reduced the movement of vehicles on the street causing the problems for the daily commuters.
However, the prolonged crisis of diesel in the State has disrupted the daily movement in the state. Vehicles like bus, goods truck and other heavy vehicles are massively hit.
The acute diesel as well as petrol crisis created chaos among the state people. Following the crisis in Tripura, movement of vehicles has been collapsed partially. Especially the vehicles moving out of the state is facing difficulties at such situation.
