KAMALPUR, May 7 (TIWN): The much proclaimed and much hyped rationing system of the state suffered many obstacles and loopholes in reality. And all those created heavy toll on the consumers. In the sub-division, the lack of commodities in the fair price shops often haunted the consumers.
And the fair price shop dealers also had to suffer and to face the public wrath in this regard. To remedy the problems and to make the entire process smoother and faster, the dealers produced deputation to the SDM yesterday.
For long period, the ration dealers here had to suffer for the distribution of fair price items properly among the consumers. For last six to seven months, the official procedures of transportation of fair price items to the fair price shops got into problems.
Further, the clearance of Challan (order copy of bank payment) from the office of the SDC (Food) also became problematic. In this context, when the dealers deposited their money for the commodities within 20 th of the month for the next month, they got the commodities hardly in the first week of the month.
The SDM, however, assured them to remedy the problems soon.
