AGARTALA, April 24 (TIWN): Due to last few days rain Northern Part of state Tripura is undergoing massive power crisis affecting the daily lives of the people here. Many loose electrical lines were hanging over the road, whcih increased the risks for pedestrians. Many electrical posts was damaged among whom many have been remained unrepaired. The mostly affected areas have been identified as Padpmapur, Kadamtala, Panisagar, Tithoi. Repeatedly, after few splashes of rain every time the power is turned off at North Tripura’s many areas and it doesn’t come back in 2/ 3 days also. All these happen due to the loose connection of power lines.
According to the sources, since 2 days after a storms the electricity supply was stopped at there and due to this the hospitals are also suffering a lot. In Dharmanagar Hospital power cut stopped the works inside operation theatre and for hours emergency service was halted.
Dharmanagar correspondent has reported that power has come back in many places, although some of the places yet facing power cut yet.
However without any announcement--in many places of North Tripura and South Tripura are facing acute power-crisis now a days, without storms also.
Everyday the power goes around 11 am and comes after evening, especially in other subdivisions except Agartala. However, then also the public don’t get relief—as from evening to next morning the load-shedding continues. Resentment has been brewed among the locals due to the continuous load-shedding.
