AGARTALA, April 7 (TIWN) : With the arrival of rainy season the deplorable life situation on NH-44 at Assam-Tripura road prevails high in this pre-monsoon season.
Long queues of trucks and other vehicles have been reported from Churaibari to Lowairpoa road.
The unmovable vehicles of that highway are due to the muddy road, has turned life worst there.
As a result the drivers there are jointly struggling to pass their vehicles on that road, as from Govt. side no imitative is taking to help the passers at there.
However, this scenario is so tradition for the drivers who travels between from Assam to Tripura that nobody, including the Govt bother about the situation anymore.
Crores and crores have been sanctioned for NH-44 till day, but after PWD had taken the charge of Tripura’s NH-44, the situation has turned like this since last few years.
However, the central govt. has again taken the charge at there via North-East Road Sector Development Scheme (NERSDS) from the year 2016 and the job for the project implementing has been given to National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (NHIDCL) will be.
But presently the life at NH-44 from Assam to Tripura has turned miserable with the unmovable and risky condition of NH-44.
