Load shedding free status still a dream: Unscheduled load shedding continue across state

AGARTALA, April 3 (TIWN): With the monsoon season hitting state early, frequent load shedding has become a serious issue for common masses.

No doubt that the load shedding has been going on in regular basis but with the beginning of the monsoon season the timing of the load shedding has increased.

Where the civilians of the capital are facing prolonged harassment due to the unscheduled load shedding, there are number of families in the interior parts of the state who are yet spending the nights with kerosene lamp.

Once claimed to make the Tripura load shedding free, after several years has passed yet common mass are suffering due to load shedding.

It seems like the crisis power supply is a never ending issue. The power plants are some time hits with lack of gas or some time due to some technical faults.

It is to be mentioned here that continuous load shedding is posing serious problem to the common people.

On the other hand, huge amount of bill in departments of State Government is yet pending. Reportedly, departments under State Government are yet to pay around Rs. 69 crores of pending bills (till December) of electricity bills to the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited.

Despite the stunning figures of pending bills; the power connection to the departments cannot not be disconnected as most of their services come under the emergency category. Therefore, the hands of the power department is tied with several responsibilities and their attempt of collecting bill remains bound till requesting the Department to pay the bills on time.

It is to be mentioned here that with the unscheduled load shedding hits the state, the situation has poses a serious problem for the common mass in the state.

However, it is now obvious that Tripura is going to be hit badly by power crisis for indefinite months or days as a result the state would face worsen load shedding situation this monsoon.
