AGARTALA, March 29 (TIWN) : With the rainy season, the NH-44 has turned pathetic as the mud filling work, which was going on at Assam-Agartala road has turned worse with the heavy rain of Monday.
Generally muddy roads get risky with the arrival of rain, and at many spots across the construction site at NH-44 had developed with mud-filling & labeling works. As a result, not only the work has been stopped due to rain but it has turned the road into the worst shape since Monday morning.
The vehicle movements have become risky and the agonies of drivers, including passengers has no end.
Reportedly in one day the condition of NH-44 has turned like this, so it can be guessed if the rain continues like this, what will be the condition of it in next few days of rains.
However, before few days during Tripura Governornor Tathagata Roy’s inspection on NH-44, people of Tripura had seen the condition of NH-44 at there.
The maximum places were in worse condition, whereas many places were recovering but were in the middle of mud filling work.
Many major streets except NH-44 have also have gone under water and a number of roads are waterlogged.
